Taste Notes
This is a really strong American Pale Ale with subtile honey aroma and citrus notes.Notes
Added honey about 3 days into the ferment. After about a week, added cascade after racking into secondary. Let sit in secondary for about 2 weeks. The honey and honey malt subtily comes through. Next time I will try with 1 lbs of honey malt and only 1 lbs of honey. I bottle conditioned with dextrose to get about 2.5 volumes of CO2.Ratings

This beer is super-good. Very dominant honey flavour with hints of orange blossom tea. It would make a great summer lawnmower brew, if it weren't for the 8% ABV. I'm putting this one on my list of beers to brew in the near future.
Golden amber colour with a fair amount of citrus/APA aroma. Taste begins with a love-bite of bitterness. The edges of this bite smooth out quickly into a pleasant sweetness with citrus and malt character. This sweetness is followed up by a slight alcohol warming which enhances the overall flavour. After your umpteenth gulp is down the chute you are left eager to have another.

Yup this one is good. Nice pineapple flavour. I think Galaxy instead of Citra would work too.
Good stuff
by buckfartI am very happy with this brew. A bit high on the ABV. The fruitiness from the Citra combined with the honey malt and honey makes this a very pleasant brew. Try it out and let me know how it goes.
