I made your Root Beer more or less your first recipe. I'll be making more later. I did a 50/50 brew. Bottled the Root beer after boil. It is good I like it but I will work on making it sweeter. The beer is still working and very active. 1.072 at will be about 9% when all said and done. Hops I used where homegrown Nugget hops. No bottle bombs very carbonated with very large creamy head. Used a beer Dry Yeast. I see where you used less Molasses. Did that work for you? I may have used too much Sweet Gale a little bitter taste. Used Sassafras root vice bark, more favor in the root. I have everything to make another batch short of the grain. Any recommendations are welcome.

hi, that's a fun recipe. less molasses worked better for me. I'm not going to make it as strong this time. using Bravo hops instead. hope it turns out good fot you.

The party gyle news letter has me confused. How about a step by step example of exactly how it is done. Add a button to Beersmith to do the calculations. That would enable room for experimentation before getting commited to 20+ lbs of grain in a 5 gallon batch?

I don't have a party-gyle option in BeerSmith itself. It is on my list to add and will likely start as a separate tool.
