Bayou, I saw your Always a Winner recipe. I was wondering what the Special Roast brings to your recipe. I had used it one time and thought it made my beer somewhat tangy and slightly sour, which is not what I was going for. I have read other places that it's key in getting the nut flavor in a nut brown. Anyway, I would appreciate whatever insight you could provide.

100 is one of my all time favourites, be it brewed commercially or by a home brewer.
"Kookkeli" is the nickname of the village where I live here in Finland.
