I do it at flame out.
BrewSD - 13 October 2014 - 9:57 pm
Ok great, thanks for the tip

I noticed that your pumpkin spice recipe calls for honey. First addition 2 lbs at flameout. Then an additional 2lbs later. Was that at the end too.
Soupbonejay - 9 October 2014 - 1:17 pm
It's just 2 lbs. honey at flameout. I will fix it. Thanks.

1st i have to say that Omission is NOTGLuten Free, hopefully she knows the difference. Gluten reduced is not the same. Anyway, to your question, this was a pretty good beer and I've made it more than once. Give it a shot, hope she likes it.
ems522 on dcarmack's wall - 24 September 2014 - 12:21 am
How did this turn out? My wife has Celiac's and was curious whether this would be worth a shot or not. She is kind of picky, and really has just taking to Omission's GF beer, so not sure if this comes close or not. She also didn't mind Redbridge either.

What is your recommended mash temperature and time for the Kwakers Over Kate recipe you posted?
cottoncoonbrew on Revbrewer's wall - 19 September 2014 - 11:47 am
Try my updated version Frosty's Finest II. Just out of curiosity, what ABV did yours turn out last year? I used more hops in the new recipe and used a different yeast that's slow to start but higher attenuation.
Revbrewer - 19 September 2014 - 7:57 pm
I can't find my notes on the brew day for this beer (ugh!). If memory serves the ABV was around 7.5% The only thing I can think is that since I had some trouble with hop & trub clogging my CFC I didn't get full volume in the fermenter. I am planning to do a version of this beer again now that I have a hop spider. This was a great beer, and I got good feedback from pro brewers on it. Will try the new version you mention!

Hi there! Looking to brew a batch of your Citra Double IPA clone and have a quick question. Are the boil hop additions pellet or leaf hop? Recipe says pellet. The dry hops say that as well, but I'm thinking they would be leaf. Thanks much! Cheers!
krazydave - 16 September 2014 - 4:43 pm
They are actually pellet not leaf/whole.

Heya, I was planning on trying your Belgina Christmas Ale this weekend, but when I went back and looked at the numbers, I have a hard time believing them. 14% ABV? Does the yeast survive? How did it taste?
bartonlsmith - 23 August 2014 - 2:59 pm
Forgot to say thanks for posting it. I just changed 3 gal to 5 and it looks reasonable. Did you mean 5?

Hello, I like the recipe for Lee Caffrey's Clone but can't figure out how you lose less than a gallon of wort doing a 90 minute boil?
