Notes
Preheat cooler with 2 gallons 190 F water.3.75 gallons 167 F for target of 156 F mash. After one hour mash at 153.Darin first runnings, mash was stuck with significant grains in the runnings. Ran out, gravity 1.083.Sparge at 175 for 40 minutes because wort wouldn't run clear for quite some time, had to restir the mash. Also had to put about another gallon and a half of 125 F tap water to make sure I hit the right boil volume.Boil gravity was 1.044.Boil for about 75 minutes because I forgot to put the chiller in to sanitize and the whirlfloc went in late. The temp only got down to 77 because of ground water temp and need to get out early so pitched warm.5.4 gallons to fermentor so needed to gather a little more wort and not boil as long.Gravity reading 6/6 @ 66.5° - 1.015 (temp adjusted)This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
