Taste Notes

The chocolate and the roasted flavors come forward and the hoppy bitterness stays in the back. Combined I get a toasty, nutty, earthy, and chocolatey combo that reminds me of the nougat in a 3 musketeers.

Notes

Poured yeast into a sanitized beaker with 80F water and let them sit for 2 hours. The yeast did not take off the way I anticipated resulting in a higher FG. This is actually prefered though because the goal was to have the FG around the 1030 range to leave a lot of the malt profile in the beer. However, the ABV is not where I had wanted it to fall. All in all though, I am elated with the taste, mouth feel and appearance of my Nougat Stout.
