Taste Notes

This is a variation on another users blend. I substituted Norther Brewer for Simcoe

Notes

I made a started 24 hrs ahead with 1/2 cup DME and 2 cups water using a stir plate at 68 degree F previous version user notes: Pitch approximately 100 Billion Cells over recommended by BeerSmith. 347.5 billion recommended, 450 Billion+/- pitched (calculated via http://www.brewersfriend.com/yeast-pitch-rate-and-starter-calculator/) Pitched yeast into 60-degree wart. Added 1 oz. each of Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus. Fermented for 4 days (gravity at 1.038) then racked on top of 1 oz. each of Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus. Fermented for 10 days (gravity at 1.015) then kegged with approximately 0.3 oz. each of Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus in three 3” stainless steal tea balls. (each ball was filled with one hops) Refrigerated at 36 F for 5 days with 10 PSI of CO2.
