OG hit 1.058, if FG hits 1.012 it will end up being 6.3% abv plus the IBU's @ 51.3 is a bit high for APA. I don't honestly think this beer should be considered as an IPA either, bit too light on hops and ABV. Guess I'll just call it an Imperial Pale Ale and it'll be that.
Bottled 2/6/13: Hops smell wonderful, very pronounced candy like citrus notes, slightly dank and berry like. Taste is great as well, very crisp and clean, nice pineapple/grapefruit taste, good bittering.
After close to a week in the fridge the results are amazing! This beer has everything where it should, great color, nice long lasting fluffy head with plenty of lacing, aromas of citrus and peaches, mouth feel that is both well rounded and crisp, touches of bread and toast with just enough crystal to give way to a hit of caramel, hops taste amazing to boot, clean and crisp, simcoe plus citra with a nice clean finish. I will brew this again!
