Notes

Used black Prinz vice Carafa 1 due to out of stock. Added 60 min Cascades due to shortage of Chinooks. 1 stick of licorice (app .75 oz) added at 10 mins left in boil along with 1 cup molasses. Only about 1/2 of licorice stick dissolved. Need to break into pieces next time. Kettle showed 7.5 gals, fermenter shows 6 gals. 1028 gravity after 1 week 1020 on 18 Aug. 12 Aug 15: Used Calif ale vice British ale yeast. Broke up the molasses stick and added it @ 15 mins left in boil.
