Taste Notes
Pre fermentation: perfect balance of sweet and bitter, earthy tonesNotes
First brewed hit 1.104, boiled too much off. 2 gals in 90 mins
2nd: added 2.5 oz toasted oats for shits and giggles
-added .5 oz of bittering hops for total of 2 oz for 11 gals
-SG: 1.074
3rd: need to try DEBITTERED chocolate malt and add CaraPils for head retention
- did not have debittered chocolate malt
- added 2 oz chinook first wort boil
- screwed up and added aroma hops at 15 mins instead of 1
-fermentation stalled at 1.030, smells oxidized. Not sure what happened
