Taste Notes
Tasted on 7/30 and it taste just like Orval. GREAT!!!! It has only been in the bottle for a week. It will only get better. Perfect!! no change.Notes
The brew went great. Hit the temps dead on. Missed OG by 9 points but I had 1/2 gal (6) in the fermentor. Fermentation is explosive. I had to put a blow off tub in the next morning. Gravity on 7/8 at 1.028. Still very high. Roused yeast. Bottled 7/24Ratings

This was my first All Grain beer, and I'm sitting here enjoying it now! I learned a lot about patience with this beer. I opened a beer a week after bottling and it tasted terrible and had no carbonation. After waiting another week it's ice cold and has a ton of carbonation. Very pleased with this recipe. I can't wait to see how it tastes after a couple months in the bottle.
Amazing Beer
by sisaac2This was my first (ever) all grain batch. My measured OG was a little lower (1.080) and the beer came out at about 8% abv. The beer is so good though. Every one of my friends that has tried it has loved it. I've got two more batches fermenting again. My OG on the current batches was still in the 1.080 range, but Im not too worried about it since it still tasted so good with the first batch.

Best of trippels so far
by youthmanThis is by far the best trippel I have done. Took some to co-workers, and they went nuts over it! Mine came in at 10%
Excellent
by eumaeusThis recipe is extremely good. This beer is a fairly sophisticated belgium ale and it hides the alcohol extremely well. You would never think this was 10+%.
Just a side note, I decided to take the temp in the primary from 63F to 80F over 6 days. I haven't tried it without doing that, but I am very satisfied with my brew.
