Notes
This is a copy of Someplace You Gotta Go Coconut Porter from the 2013 March/April Zymurgy with slight changes. This is the 5 gallon gallon batch I'm making a Vanilla Bourbon Porter with. I pressure cooked some red oak slivers and soaked them in 500 ML of Early Times Bourbon for a week. Then I removed the oak and added two whole vanilla beans, one Tahitian and one Madagascar for two weeks. The vanilla flavor was too strong so when I kegged the beer I added 5 ounces of Knob Creek Bpurbon and 5 ounce of the mix.
