excellent to the last drop
by autogamiI scaled this recipe down to a 5 gal system at 1:1. I added cocao nibs to secondary and let it sit for 2-3 weeks. beer came out excellent. My ABV was about 5.25%, so perhaps I didn't wash all the sugars off the grains. Either way, beer was absolutely excellent. got rave reviews from friends and this is one beer that I did not give growlers away...kept this for myself and friends who came over only. Had a very slight sweet grain like aftertaste and coupled with the chocolate flavor from the nibs, it was great. This is the first beer that I will definitely brew again. I strongly recommend trying this one. Great Job Nathan!
