Notes

Fermented really quickly in fact done by 31 Jan and stopped at 1.023. Gave it a shake and started again. Got it down to 1.017 on 2 Jan closer to target. Temp kept v stable between 18 and 22C. Bottled on 11 Jan at 7.5c using 75g corn sugar. After bottling 13L I added 15ml vanilla essence to 6L to make vanilla milk stout. Tastes good. Perhaps a little strong but will mellow out. So feedback from LAB and Andy Parker - good beer. Good grist. Need to mash even higher next time to get more body and sweetness. Double the lactose quantity too.
