Notes

10/18 3:30 pm 49 degrees Strike water 3.5 Gallons at 160. Mash temp 159. Added .5 gallon cold tap water to bring temp to 155. Mash for 60 mins. 1500 ml yeast starter made on 10/17 at 4 pm 60 Min Mash 3.8 Gallons sparge water at 172. Mash temp 168 for 10 mins SG 1.030 Boil started at 5:05 pm. .5 oz Tettnang .5 oz Tettnang at 5:36 pm Whirlfloc added at 5:51 Only 4.5 gallons OG 1.052 Chilled wort overnight to 48 degrees Pitched starter at 8:30 am 10/19 Air lock with blow off tube Bottled 24 12 oz bottles on 12/11. 1.018 FG. Slightly sweet flavor and a little to dark in the bucket. Not sure if sweetness was due to corn sugar primer.
