Notes

7/7/24 - grabbed wrong grain, instead of munich malt I grabbed Maris Otter. Not big difference since there is only .5 lb. Since I did not do a starter last time, I am not doing one this time. Using the Anvil bucket fermentator for first time with this. Brewing this for Derek's wedding in August. first brew fall 2023-Bells Oberon Clone recipe; Imperial Bells House Yeast A62 or US 05 - good brew day so far. Just finished mashing. Had 6.3+ gal but the pump for bumped and pumped wort on floor. Lost almost .3 gal. I adjusted the mash step up to 20 min rise with 10 min hold at 168. Still barely made it. Had about 6-7 min hold. Put 2 oz Saaz in when temp was 200 and let the temp free fall for 10 min with lid on Anvil. On Friday evening I put 1 oz Bitter Curacao Orange peel into fermentor. On Sunday evening it was done and I transfered into keg and cold crashed.
