Taste Notes

prepared the flavors by taking 10ml beer and using a jewler's scale weighing and tasting at the following %: 10%, 20%, 25%, 30%. Once the flavor mix % was established, I prepared 2-3 litre bottles. From there I filled 450-500ml fliptops. Here are the specifics: Ginger tea was highly concentrated and needed only 20%. Per litre: 833g beer, 166g juice Anticipated abv- 5% Cedar tea was the most subtle. I went with a 30% mix: Per litre: 769g beer, 230g cedar tea. Anticipated abv 4.7% Grapefruit juice was best at a 25% mix: Per Litre: 800g beer, 200g juice. The juice was 100% organic grapefruit juice Anticipated ABV 4.8%

Notes

this is 3 experimental brews each yielding 6-7 bottles. sugar prime the whole brew as usual. Aug 26 2024 https://www.omnicalculator.com/food/alcohol-dilution#how-to-use-the-alcohol-dilution-calculator Ginger - 20% 5%abv (comment: increase % to maybe 23-25% Cedar - 30% 4.7%abv (comment: too much! it needs to be just a hint. Try 20%) Radler - grapefruit 25% 4.8%abv (Comment: this is about right) The per litre quantities were made using 'goal seek' excel functions.
