This if for 2023 Atlanta Cask Festival
over conditioned the grain and casued the mill to seize. put the grain in a tarp and had fan blow on it or a few minutes then feed slowly .
Ground like normal after that. Should not have any effect on gravity.
mash ran well but it did have a lot of air in the line but never stopped and had good flow.
checked gravity at 20 min was 17.2 again after transfer to boil kettle it was 18.8 so not fully converted after 20 min.
had nice boil. final volume into fermentor was 13 gallons exact but had to use all the dregs from ghe boil kettle and carboys to fill.
to figure out priming sugar used the chart provided by maydaycask, org.
73F finishing temp 10.8 gallons volume used 4.3 oz corn sugar . this was the same number beersmiht gave for bottle conditioning.
In the past I have used the keg conditioning number to determin how much sugar to use. Bottle # is 2x keg #.
do not soak key stone too l ongit will deform and not fit in holeThis Recipe Has Not Been Rated
