Dark Mahogany color with some red hue tints, nutmeg aroma with ginger root as well, dense Tan colored head with good retention ,
getting black licorice flavor and some dark bakers chocolate notes as beer warms up, when cold get a fair amount of hop bitterness
but when warmed hop bitterness fades and allows malt character to come forward, nutmeg character fairly prominent as beer warms,
ginger root notes on finish, some burnt coffee flavor lingers on finish likely due roasted barley used,

Brew Day
Used 5 1/4 distilled water in mash tun
Added brewing salts & 2.25 ML lactic acid
Pre-boil gravity 1.056
PH 5.3
OG 1.084
Chilled down to 60 degrees
Filled fermenter to 3 3/4 gallon mark
Used pure O2 @ a rate 1.5 Liters for 45 seconds
Pitched yeast @ 1:40 pm temperature was 62 degrees
Set temperature control for 68 degrees
