Taste Notes
Wow! These hops smell like passion fruit. A very hoppy but still manageable beer. The hops cover up the 7.71 ABV quite nicely.Notes
My standard Sierra clone, but with a lot more malt and Warrior/Citra hops. Also going to jack up the mash temp to 155 for some more malt body.
Mash in was at only 152 with BeerSmith recommended hot liquor temp. Preboil SG of 1.062. Postboil at 1.069. I had several boilovers.
This beer took second in the IPA category at the NHC regional for Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma.
