Notes

Website says 1.048 OG, 5.0% ABV (=1.010 FG). But the beer has a 'thicker feel' than 1.010 and the actual FG of the original measures 1.014, which equates to 1.052 OG at 5%! Have raised mash temp to 68C and will go with this which equates to about 1.051 OG, 1.013 FG. 14/3/14 Brew day New 50L kettle and propane burner Major stuck mash, dumped whole lot in spare tun and got it out OK. Have now changed false bottom for pair of bazooka filters.... Pre boil volume 36L, post boil volume in FV 24L. Very good boil (more than 6L boil off) and more dead space loss. Need to change figures.... FG 1.014 - bang on. 4.9% Racked to secondary and dry hopped on 31/3/14
