Notes
Brew Day 21/2/14
No major issues. Pre boil gravity bit high at 1.033 versus target of 1.030. Using new mash tun and probably better efficiency than 73% used for this grain bill.
OG after boil was 1.040 versus target of 1.038. (ABV will be 4.2% if it ferments out at 1.008.) The boil was much more rapid than previous brews, guess this is due to a lower gravity thinner wort. Some boil over at start before got it under control. Final volume about 21 litres (it is a real struggle to hit 23L with my boiler capacity 28L max).
After researching more Citra recipes, have increased the dry hop to 65g - this is the remainder of the 100g pack which seems to be about the correct level for a low gravity beer.
12/4/14
Whole batch kegged and carbed at 18psi for a target CO2 vol of 2.4.
Tasty
by otterbreathI have tried this recipe twice now. Delicious both times. The second time I upped the torrified wheat to 150g to improve the head. Seemed to work.
Fully recommend.
