Taste Notes

The best lager I've brewed. Super crisp and refreshing with a nice malt backbone and on the hoppy side for the style which I really like. Modeled after the Czech Pilsner we tasted at Lemon Street Brewing. Knocked it out of the park. ABV is a little high for style due to high brewhouse efficiency (mashing steps, 0.30" malt grind and my RIMS system.

Notes

Made a 2 liter starter using RO water, 2 cans of Propper wort starter and 1/4 tsp of yeast nutrient. Pitch yeast at 53F wort temperature. Held for 3 days. Raised to 56F for 1 day. Next day, one CO2 burp/20 sec. Raised to 65F for 3 days. Cold crashed for a day and racked to keg at 45F. Added 2/3c water and 1.25 TBSP gelatin (170F) and burst pressurized at 40 psig on 1/3.
