Taste Notes

Best of The Bay: 32.5 Judge 1 Noted orange citrus and pine aroma. Bold Sweet orange crecent flavor. Both judges noted some astrigency and some phenolics they attributed to an unhealthy yeast pitch\ Western Idaho Fair: 32 All three judges agreed that the flavor in general was too light. Suggesting that it might be a session IPA or even a pale ale. They also mentioned that there was too much balance toward the malt and not enough hop flavor or bitterness. Boneyard Brew Off: 33.5 Same general idea. Needs more hop flavor and aroma and less malt. Or maybe just keep the hops where they are and really ramp up the hop flavor and aroma. Southern New England Regional Homebrew Competition: 44 Entered as a pale ale. All comments positive. First place. Not sure where to go from here to improve as a pale though.
