Taste Notes

Rye really shows through. Hops a little too present. Next time will lower flavor/aroma hops by 15%.

Notes

Excluding the Rye Malt and 2 row pale ale malt (which was Belgian by Castle) all the grains were actually 8x the amount listed. These grains were re-used grains (i don't sparge) and this is a 'partigyle' batch. not REAL partigyle but my version of it and this is my first attempt. since i do not know the amount of unused sugars left behind in grains that do not get sparged i chose to be conservative and assume low sugar contribution. After taking my gravity readings I find my temps were off due to thermometer issue so I got lower conversion than expected. My readings say this beer turned out to be 3.799% ABV and is excellent but a little too low. Will fine tune to make closer to 4.5-4.9% next time. Great session beer though! Sugar is 1 cup of sugar to get alcohol in range.

Come as a good light rye beer @3.79% alcohol. Nice crisp finish.
