Taste Notes

Spice blend felt on point initially. After tasting with Pete at Backbeat he thought the clove was a little strong. Maybe it needs a little more cinnamon too? Will reevaluate before brewing again. Going from Briess Chocolate to Muntons Chocolate made the beer roastier and less smooth than last batch. Should have used less Muntons Chocolate, or Muntons Light Chocolate.

Notes

Subbed Cluster for Northern Brewer, US Fuggle for Willamette, and S05 for 1272. Short on lactose during brew day. Added 10.5 oz on brew day, tasted, then decided the batch needed the originbal 16 oz. Boiled 5.5 oz lactose in water and added at packaging.
