Notes

1. Heated 15gallons to 166F in HLT with recirculation on HLT 2. Moved 8 gallons to Mash tun (initially I had 7.5gallons but when I added grains it seemed to thick) 3. Started recirc on mash tun to prime pump 4. Hooked up all 5 hoses to move mash tun water thru the HERMS coil 5. With mash tun pump off, added all grains to mash tun 6. Attached hose inside mash tun and started mash recirc. Set HLT to 161F with 7gallons in HLT maintained 156F in mash tun 7. 60 minute Mash started 10:50am to 11:50am @ 156F 8. Mashout at 168F. Set HLT to 173F, and set Alarm 1 on Mash tun to 168F 9. Move hoses. Water pump in from bottom of HLT, out to bottom of HERMS coil Wort pump in from bottom of Mash tun out to boil keggle inlet jumper hose from HERMS outlet (top) to mash tun inlet (top) 10. Pump wort and sparge Preboil 9gallon @ 10.66 1.049 @ 142.3F At 60% boil keggle power level, boil off rate is 1.25gallon/hour. OG 1.09 1.089 @ 69F) ~6.5 gallons I put 5g into one fermenter and 1.5gallons into another fermenter 11/26/2022 I took a gravity reading in the fermenter with 5 gallons, 1.028 (1.027 @ 71F) 12/11/2022 @ 10:30am I took a FG Final gravity reading in the fermenter with 5 gallons, 1.027 (1.026 @ 71F)
