Taste Notes

Out of the fermenter (after a week) both the normal and black IPA's tasted awesome! ^_^

Notes

OG came in at 1.072, split batch into… Normal (Yang) IPA - added water to get to OG of 1.068 - collected 14 litres. Black (Ying) IPA - added black stain to OG of 1.066 - collected 6 litres. * Black stain made with 500g black & 400g chocolate, in 1.5 litres boiling water. Let stand for 45 mins and then strained off the grains. Left to cool before adding to fermenter. Didn't add all of it though… === BLACK (YING) IPA === OG after a week in fermenter - 1.022 Dry hopped for 4 days with 12g Citra & 12g Mosaic OG at bottling - 1.022 giving an ABV of 6.1% Bottled 4.5 litres (9 bottles) === Normal (YANG) IPA === OG after a week in fermenter - 1.019 Dry hopped for 4 days with 28g Citra & 28g Mosaic OG at bottling - 1.016 giving an ABV of 6.9% Bottled 11 litres (22 bottles)
