Taste Notes

FG:1.008 SO A LITTLE ON THE DRY SIDE. HOWEVER I ADDED ABOUT 2LB OF FRESH FIGS TO THE MIX ALONG WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF HONEY. REALLY I USED THE HOT FIG JUICE TO CLEAN OUT THE HONEY BUCKET TO GET ALL THE HONEY OUT I COULD. THE CYSER IS A LITTLE ON THE ACIDIC SIDE, SOMETHING I THINK THE FIGS WILL HELP WITH, AND AGING. NEXT TIME I DO CYSER I AM GOING TO DO SOME SPICE COMBINATIONS IN POST FERMENTATION. I DON'T WANT TO OVERUSE CINAMMON, BUT VANILLA, ALLSPICE, CINAMMON, RAISINS, AND SOME OTHER SPICES REALLY MESHED WELL WITH APPLES. A LITTLE MORE ALCOHOLIC THAN I WANTED AS WELL, BUT NOT BURNING BECAUSE OF IT WHICH IS GOOD.

02JUL2022: 8.3G GOGERM ADDED TO 150ML BOILED WATER, BROUGHT DOWN TO 102F AND ADDED 1 PACKET OF LALVIN K1-V1116 AS A STARTER. ADDED 5G APPLE CIDER INTO 6.5G CONTAINER, AT 1.050SG. I WILL NEED TO ADD 12LB HONEY TO GET TO 1.12SG (.035/6= .0058 // .07/.0058=12) I AM USING WILDFLOWER HONEY I GOT FROM ED'S BACKYARD BEES. FANTASTIC TASTING! FRONT LOADING 27.8G FERMAID O ADDING 3 TEA BAGS - TIPSON CHERRY ASHWAGANDA, BOILED, 400MG WATER.
