Notes
Mill set at 0.050. Wheat grist was ground too fine. False bottom kept getting clogged, had to stir the mash constantly in order to keep the re-circulator going. When exit hose was removed during stuck re-circulation no liquid came out, only a shot of steam (dragon's breath).
2 gallons left after sparge at 1.040 pre-boil gravity (boiled later for yeast starter).
Aerated for 30 minutes with Mickey's aquarium pump.
Under pitched two different yeast strains on purpose to try to promote ester production during fermentation.
Hope to have ready for submission for entry into Bockfest 2014 competition on 3/8 but not much time to allow it mature for such a big beer - we'll see.
