Taste Notes

Double crushed the grains @ .5 Installed false bottom and circulated during mash with very low heat, stiring every 15 minutes, kept mash at 158f entire time Mash efficiency = 78.6%, hit pbg perfect but was low on OG, measured boil off and it was 1.3g as expected, no clue why its not raising enough between PBG and OG False bottom port fitting plugged with hops making the whirlpool pump useless after adding hops so I stirred manually and intermittantly

PBG:1.039 OG:1.045 FG:1.014 Mash Efficiency: 78.6 Brewhouse Efficiency: 62 TBC Day -1: (Sun-O10)Pitch Starter 100g DME and 1L water on stir plate (3/8 speed) in clear growler @ 3pm Day 0:(Mon-O11) Pitch Gen 1 Escarpment Foggy London at 3pm OG 1.045 set temp at 68f in kegerator fridge with heat belt on the inkbird Day 3:(Th-O14) Gravity 1.0xx, turn up to 72f Day 4:(Fr-O15) 9pm Add 5oz dry hops in hop sock through top hole (disaster…) Day 5:(Sa-O16) 1pm Turn temp down to 60f Day 7:(Mo-O18) 1pm Gravity 1.017 so turned up to 72f hoping to help it finish up faster (sample tasted and looked great though) Day 10:(Th-21) 7:30am Gravity 1.016 Day 13:(Su-O24) Gravity 1.014, Turn temp down to 34f Day 15:(Tu-O26) FG: 1.014, closed transfer to keg, force carb 35psi for 20 hours Day 16:(W-O27) Put onto main system at 12psi Day 18:(Fr-O29) Carbed and drinkable, bottled 12 (6 for EHG exchange) Day xx:(Xx-Xx)Kicked the keg
