Notes

Actually used 40L Crystal Malt 151 Mash for about an hour. Hot mess with mash temps. sat for 15 mins below 150 waiting for water to boil to raise temps. Not sure why temps were so low. I put the grain in the tun before adding water. Not sure if this is the problem. 9-23-12 Brix 10 (1.022) Secondary into two Carboys with 1oz in each of Cascade Harvested the WLP051 into three Jars. LESSONS: - have additional strike water heated in case you need to add to mash to raise temp. - Imersion Chiller = .6 gal - 5 gallons of ice. wait till garden water gets it down before using prechiller -
