Taste Notes
Huge hop aroma and flavours, lots of grapefruit from the Citra. I'd like to compare this one side-by-side with Flying Monkeys Atomic Smashbomb IPA.Notes
This recipe starts with Warrior at 60 min for bittering, then uses a "continual hopping technique" for the last 30 minutes of the boil. Combine all the Citra and Amarillo hops for the boil and start dropping them in kettle (a couple pellets at a time) continiously from 30 min to flameout. We then added whirlpool hops for the duration of cooling the wort.
* We intended to dry hop with Citra and Amarillo, but lost one package of Amarillo in our freezer, so 0.5 oz of Centennial was substituted in this stage. Found the Amarillo on our next brew day... such is life. This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
