Notes
Brew Day Sunday Mar 22nd, 2020
HBC 522 is a high yielding selection with a pleasant floral and citrus
aroma that is reminiscent of both Cascade and Centennial.

I used the metal "Jeff and Alan's Big Kettle" for my mash. Temp in middle stayed consistent but got cold near the outside (as low as 138 after an hour)
I had to collect my first runnings in two pots 5 gal + 2 gal.
Dammit, I spilled a bunch of the first runnings because I did't watch the 5 gal pot closely when I drained the mash tun.
First runnings = 5.25 Gal x 1.060 = 315 (~52%) -- This 5.25 with the measuring stick, but that doesn't really jive with what I collected in 1 full 5 gal pot + 0.5 ~ 1 gal in the second pot. (Thankfully maybe I didn't lose too much in the overflow) So this might be closer to 5.5 Gal ? I need a better way to measure the volume in my big boil kettle.
Second runnings = 12.6 x 1.048 = 605 (100%) -- I guess I got lucky here. This is assuming my 12.6 Gal measurement is correct. But if boil down a bit too much I might end up with less beer.
Added ~ .3 Gal more of Second runnings
Pre Boil = 12.9 x 1.048 = = 619 GU (102%)
Target Final = 12.93 * 1.047 = 607.71
2:10PM - Started sparge runoff and boil burner
2:32PM - Not boiling yet
2:55PM - Reached boil
4:09 - add 30 min hops
fuck, I added the 0 minute hops. I removed the hop spider, added the 30 minute hops to the boil directly, and now I will add the hop spider back in at 0 min
fuck
4:40 -- started to chill
8:50 - pitched yeast
Josuke is Citrus -- 5 Gal of 1.048 OG
Jotaro is 1056 - 5.5 Gal of 1.050 OG
Didn't take a FG before pitching yeast :(
Not sure those are good gravity readings... but fuck it.
It'll be a beer.
Citrus Yeast was Nov 29, 2019 Manufacter :( from HBX
Wyeast 1056 was undated from HBX
