A l'afegir 95mL d'àcid fosfòric al 75%, el pH ha baixat de 5,96 a 5,25. El pHímetre estava descalibrat perquè hi havia fongs al sensor, i per tant el pH sempre surtía una mica més àcid del que tocava.
