Amazing, Brew This Beer! I have batch #2 on its way.

Edit: Used Imperial Citrus A20, will probably use that for all future brews. Brewed 4 times now.

Great beer, lot of fruits taste

Well, that went fast...

Couldn't keep it in the keg very long. It hit the mark with the Mrs as she kept sneaking some. And, we didn't even want to share it with the neighbors because it was going too fast...
Great tropical aroma, fantastic mouth feel and nice head retention. It came in a little higher at 8.1% ABV, but it was fruity and smooth. If you like fruity IPAs, you'll need to try this one. Gearing up for batch #2 next week!

Amazing beer but the mash is a challenge for beginners

by kejell

The beer is delicious. It has the body and feel of a weiz/wit but with intense hop aroma. Lot's of black currant, citrus and tropical fruit. I substituted flaked wheat with flaked oats (mainly because I apparently can't read). Recommend going higher on the carbonation which really brings out the weiss part of the beer. The great struggle with this beer in all-in-one system is that grain to water ratio. With 35L brewzilla I had a hard time with the mash. Due to the large bill and the high proportion of wheat I only managed 60% efficiency and I couldn't get the wort to recirculate fully as it was semi-stuck. This is with >5% rice hulls. If I brew it again on an AIO I would go for a lower volume (<15L). Despite all this the beer tastes amazing and I highly recommend it.
