Malts taken from Bare Bottle Brewing Co, SF recipe on can for "BUD Baby Unicorn Dust" and hops from MT Warp Tube w Strata in whirlpool
15 oz hops:
26% Whirlpool Idaho 7, Strata, Denali.
74% Dry Hopping plan is Idaho 7, Denali, and Strata.
Hop choices:
Idaho 7 for earthy, black tea, piney in addition to citrus floral
Denali for citrus, pine, spicy combination
Strata for dank herbal KEY to Warp Tube
My interpretation of MT Warp Tube flavor and the way the MT lists hops in their own promotional material for this beer is that Denali, at the end of the hop list is NOT used in wirlpool.... but I could be wrong. And Nugget, listed first, is NOT used in the Dry Hoping...and I could be wrong.
Note the Bare Bottle's BUD recipe for 5 gallons printed on the can:
is ONLY 2/3 the hop total that we do... at 2 oz per recipe gallon, and our rule is 3 oz for hoppy flowery IPA.
OUR guide rule for Whirlpool hop loading to Dry Hop ratio starting from 161 Picnic Lightening is:
29% to 71%. Hop ratios at 1:1:1 Chinook, Citra, Simcoe, but in 3 blended descending amount doses each taking 7 days!
This beer is 24% to 76%
Actual BareBottle BUD by comparison is:
17%WP to 82%DH A Citra, Mosaic Meridian, El Dorado beer that goes LIGHTER or 73% on the Mosaic in Dry Hop. And is 2:1 Mosaic driven in the Whirlpool. I would call this a Moonraker kind of recipe, due to the Mosaic.
ABV intent is 6.5 max. IBU intent is to disregard Beersmith calculation...intent is that the perceived IBU land around 50.This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
