Notes
23 grams yeast per 5 gallons wort = 4.6 grams per gallon, or 3.45 grams per 0.75 gallons in each 1-gal. jug.
Calculated yeast count for 2 packets of US-05 as of 9/19/19 is 240B cells.
Beet juice - 1/2 tsp/12 oz. = 5-1/3 tsp. /gallon wort, or 4 tsp. per 0.75 gallon.
Variables: 1) straight beer; 2) 4 tsp. beet juice; 3) 2 tsp. beet juice; 4) 6 tsp. beet juice; 5) 4 tsp. beet juice + 8 oz. pomegranate juice
None of the samples appeared pink - more like orange. The only way to get pink color is to add neon pink food coloring.
Dry hopped starting 11/8/19.
