Taste Notes
Won a silver medal at the LAB Lager than life competition in March 2019.
Smooth & silky with liquorice notes.
Has more body than first version but this is due to a mash pH error (Too low) that meant really low attenuation. However this is not detrimental - just gives it a more stout like mouthfeel.Notes
Amended based on feedback from competition.
Wants more malty flavour and more noticeable hops.
Based on Black Wolf Schwarzbier by Flossmoor station - Note Carafa and Roast dehusked barley to be added at mash out.
NB after adding 2L starter OG dropped to 1043
