Taste Notes
6.9.13 - Took my first hydro reading. 1.010. Wonderfully roasty flavor and some hop bitterness. A little sweet on the tongue. Not much nose to speak of, but a little burnt toast can be detected.
7.4.13 - Bottled today after doing a single dry hop addition of .5 Citra, .25 Amarillo, and .25 Simcoe from Monday (6.24) - Saturday (6.29). Finishes really bitter, like burnt coffee.Notes
Delay between sparge and start of boil of about an hour and a half.
Slight boil over at beginning of boil. A lot of hop debris on the pot and ground.
10 minutes after flameout, whirlpool hop stand with .33oz Citra, .25oz Amarillo, .25 oz Simcoe for 30 minutes. Approx 178-205 degrees. After 30 minutes, added another addition of the same for 50 minutes, approx 140-180 degrees.
