8/4 4.5 gallons of 168 degree water THEN added grains-stirred Mashed between 152-156 60-75 or so minutes drained mash and had 2.6 gallons of liquid recirc 1.5 gallons thru the mash-emptied mash tun - now at 4 gallons 14 quarts added to mash - emtpied and resulted with 8 gallons 1-6-2019 Mash temp was 152-156 for 45 minutes and 150 for final 15 Drained volume = 3 gallon Recirculate once - volume = 3 gallons Add 1.5 gallons at 168-recirculate back in Drain whole mash into kettle -volume = 4.5 Add 3.5 gallons at 168 = 7.2 gallons preboil grav 1.035 og 1.048 from refractometer 1.042/3 from John's floating stick
