Taste Notes
After primary: Hops prevelant. Citrusy start, earthier pine finish.
After secondary: Hops mellower. Citriusy start went from lemony lime to dark orange. Pine and cedar moved up front more. Earthy bitter lays well with spicy rye.
Tapped. A crisp and dry rye ale. Low head, subtle malty nose. Citrus front still there but much more toned down. Earthy bitterness pervades. Meduim bodied. Not complex but pleasing in its simplicity.
Would like to persue citrusyness and rye in the future.Notes
Fly sparged nearly 6 gallons for 7 gallons in the pot.
Four days in the primary.
