Taste Notes
10/23/12 - Out of fermentor uncarbonated. Extremely hoppy and bitter, less aroma than expected. Less body than anticipated. Will need some conditioning time to mellow out.
10/24/12 - After chilling and carbonating it tastes much better. Great citrus hop aroma, still extremely hoppy with an alcohol warning at the finish. Might be a beast in a couple of weeks.Notes
Added 3.0 oz of Amarillo leaf hops to mash water for 20 mins. Had to do a 2 gallon water addition to raise temperature to 153F after the initial mash OG was 1.025. Suspected mash temp was lower than 148 and limited conversion. Waited 45 minutes after adding the 2 gallons. Preboil gravity 1.48, Final boil gravity 1.075.
10/8/12 - Dry hopped with 1 oz of each Centential, Columbus, and Simcoe hop pellets. SG was 1.019.
10/13/12 - Dry hopped .25 oz Centential, Columbus, and Simcoe hop pellets.
10/20/12 - Crash cooled to 45 deg F for a couple of days.
10/22/12 - Kegged and carbonated in keggerator with 20psi.This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
