The idea of coconut porter started out as a real experiment for me, having never had one before, so I really wasn't sure what I was going to get. I'm pleased to say this is one of the best beers I've made. The coconut really helps bring out the coffee and chocolate, and is only subtly present on the nose.
I have also found this beer matured very well - though my taste-buds didn't let the batch last long enough to really tell.
please note a small error in the recipe: I used 750 grams of coconut (not mg).
