Notes

Original Gravity: 1.060 Final Gravity: 1.012 IBU: 39 SRM: 74 Mash 67c. Boil Time: 60 minutes originally but i did 90 mins. I also altered the batch volume from 19litres to 22 litres as it would have been too strong and mine still came out at 6.3% I actually used Mangrove Jack M42 New World Strong Ale Yeast I added 400 g Lightly Toasted Unsweetened Coconut Flakes loose to FV2 and do not use desicated coconut its not the same as a friend found out using teh same recipe. Preheat oven to 150° F (66° C) and Lightly toast coconut until golden brown (about 30 minutes). Turn the coconut every 10 minutes to ensure even toasting. I added another 125gms after 8 days to increase the coconut flavour before bottling. I would reduce the 2nd coconut addition by half. It aged well over 8 months held and kept balanced flavour and won a Beer festival home brew competition in my home town. Carbonated @ 2.1 Co2 vol
