Taste Notes
1) First taste from thief 3 days before crashing was very good. Some fruity esters with a pretty dominant belgian yeast flavor. Notes
1) Fun with the Hop Bag in the wort boiler this time...had to filter everything into another boil pot then distribute to carboys. Learned to be more careful with the bag attachment clamp.
2) Mash Tun not holding temp properly during the sparge. Need a insulator wrap for it. Had to raise the sparge H20 temp to hold the mash temp and never got a good lauter temp this time.
3) This one won us a Silver Medal at the Louisiana Beer Festival.
