Taste Notes

A: Dark brown with red highlights, clear.. but dark. Lite tan head, which settles quickly. S: Nutty malt w/burn sugar notes.. maybe like candied/roasted pecans T: Malt with lite nutty character, lite carmel & darkfruit notes on finish. M: Light-Med mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Not heavy at all. O: Very much the dark mild I was hoping for. The roasty notes mellowed from 1st few weeks, and at times it was a bit 'raisin-y'. However on 5/2/12 tasting, those have largely subsided. Leaving a nice nut/malt beer which is not too heavy. Maybe not quite the Big Tusk mild I had in Whistler, but a very nice beer anyways.
