Notes
10-30-16 Mashed in @ 149 F @ 11:00 am.
60 minute mash. Finalrunnings 1.012
PBG 1.048. Holy crap.
OG checked @ 15 inutes left to boil. 1.054.
Increased the time on the last 2 hop additions to compensate for the hgh OG.
Final OG 1.053. Yay!
That's 100.6% mash effiency ans 95% brewhouse effiency.. Holy hell.
Now I really wqnt that new Kegco 3 rollr mill for Christmas!!
Pitched S-23 European Lager yeast in one fermenter and S-04 English Ale yeast in the other one.
Pitched both yeasts @ 66F. Put the lager carboy in the fermentatio chamber at 52F.
After 7 days, I'll put it in the cold room to finish up at low ale fermenting temprature. Experiement #2. The first one worked out well.
Pitched 1/2 gallon of water in each fermenter to bring the OG down a point or two.
11-29-16. Sampled the Ale version. Getting pretty good. Not a lot of hop flavor considering all of the Saaz additions.
12-16-16. Still have some left from our Winter Party! It's very good and super clear. The hop flavor is coming through now. Good Hoppy Pilsner. This Recipe Has Not Been Rated
