Notes

Brewed on 4/30/17. Transferred to secondary fermentor on 5/13/17. Waited almost two full weeks to transfer as fermentation was still pretty active. Waited 4 days (5/17/17) to let clear a bit then added Dry Hops (1.5 oz Czech Saaz) to secondary fermentor on 5/17/17. Fermentation was still active but slow. It picked up a bit upon adding dry hops. 5/25/17-Kegged 5 gal batch & force carbed. 5/26/17-Kegged 5 gal batch and purged. storing in basement. 6/3/17-first keg kicked. 6/3/17-put second keg on gas - set & forget (9lbs) 6/5/17 bumped gas to 12 lbs - hoping beer would be carbed for 6/7/17 BASH meeting. Tasting notes: did side by side comparison with a bottle of Bell's Oberon. Very close. Wife prefers ours. Possibly try WPL051 Calif Ale Yeast next time. This batch has just ever so slight banana coming through from the WPL320 American Hefe. Still very good though. U.S.Blues - Blue Berry Wheat - I added 3 pounds of frozen blue berries to 5 gallon secondary (beer bucket) for 13 days. - tasting notes: Jo likes. Taking a while to get carbed at set & forget @10lbs - approx two weeks.
