Notes

Start heating water, weigh and mill grain. 9:40 - 6 gallons of water at 166F. Add grain to tun. Tun temp at 156. Perfect. Cover and set time for 30 minutes. 10:10 - Start heating the 4 gallons of sparge water to 168F. Set timer for 30 minutes. 10:42 - Sparge started with 168F water. 11:07 - Finish sparge. Specific gravity is 1.026 at 162F.Corrected for temp is 1.048. 9 gallons in two pots. 11:37 - Reached boil. Set timer for 30 minutes. 12:07 - Added 1 oz of Warrior. Set timer for 45 minutes. 12:52 - Added 1 oz of Cascade and whirl floc tablet and wort cooler to sterilize. Set timer for 10 minutes. 1:01 - Added 2 oz of Cascade. Set timer for 5 minutes 1:06 - Started circulating through torpedo. A few minutes later the hose blew off and I lost about a gallon of beer! 1:10 - Scraped 4 oz of cascade leaf out of torpedo into boil kettle. 1:25 - Started Cool down. 2:00 - 5 gallons with OG measured at 1.063. Aerated and added hydrated yeast. On kitchen island. 05-05-2013 - Siphoned into secondary. FG is 1.016. No hop aroma or flavor so I added 2 oz of cascade leaf and 2 oz of Simcoe leaf. 03-03-2013 - siphoned to secondary and started cold crash at 32F. 03-09-2013 - FG is 1.010 at 32F. Corrected to 1.009. Kegged 5 gallons and bottled 6 22 oz bottles
